ADMISSION DISCOUNT

Save up to 50 € on the admission fee for the European Aerosol Conference (EAC) or one of the workshops organized by GAeF.

TRAVEL SUPPORT

GAeF student members can apply for student travel support to attend and present their work at the European or International Aerosol Conference. The travel support covers the early bird registrations fee for the conference.

The application together with the acceptance letter of their abstract should be sent to Dr. Birgit Wehner (birgit@tropos.de) no later than 15 June 2024.

To obtain a support: 

  • a student must be member of GAeF (latest by 20 May 2024).

  • the application form must be filled out, and submitted together with a student ID, and a copy of the acceptance letter (oral or poster) received from EAC 2024

    • Note: To reduce administrative effort, GAeF will directly pay the registration fee with EAC Tampere. Therefore, please select “PDF invoice (= bank transfer)“ as payment method for registration and wait with the payment of the invoice until the grant decision is communicated.

Applicants who already paid their registration fee can not be considered for the travel support.

There is a limited number of grants available only. The final selection will be made by the GAeF board based on the abstract reviewed by the EAC 2024 program committee.

GAeF supported 23 students from different areas within aerosol research for travelling to the European Aerosol Conference 2019 in Gothenburg! 
 

STUDENT TRAVEL SUPPORT

GAeF financially supports students to participate in the European Aerosol Conference 2023 organized ​by Spanish Association for Research on Aerosol Science and Technology (AECYTA) in Malaga (Spain).

Support for participation in the conference in Malaga consist of the payment of the early bird conference registration fee.

GAeF student members applying for the travel support should send their application together with the acceptance letter of their abstract to Dr. Birgit Wehner (birgit@tropos.de) no later than 10 June 2023.

  • To obtain a support, a student must be member of GAeF (latest by 15 May 2023).

  • A student ID or a confirmation of the official supervisor is needed

  • A copy of the acceptance letter (oral or poster) received from EAC 2023.

There is a limited number of grants available only. The final selection will be made by the GAeF board based on the abstract reviewed by the EAC 2023 program committee.

Planning your own workshop?
Get financial support from GAeF!

GAeF SUPPORT OF WORKSHOPS

Requirements:

  • Workshop should cover a topic within aerosol research.

  • The application should contain the scientific goals, the target group (or a list of invited persons) as well as a statement what the money is needed for.

  • Public announcement of the workshop at least 2 months before the workshop (at least on the GAeF homepage). 

  • At least a 1-p summary of the workshop results has to be made available for posting on the GAeF homepage.

  • The maximum support per workshop is limited to 5.000 €.

  • An itemized statement on the costs is required after the workshop.

  • The deadline for applications is 01 August for the following year.
