This fourth GAeF START conference on aerosol science will take place in Munich on March 10 and 11, 2027 hosted by the Fraunhofer Institute for Translational Medicine and Pharmacology (ITMP-IIP), the Technical University and the Helmholtz Center München. The aim of GAeF is to organize a high-quality scientific conference that fosters interaction and exchange among GAeF members. During GAeF START 2027 the next GAeF PhD Awards will be granted.
One of the highlights will be tandem talks by invited speakers, addressing a specific topic from two perspectives in order to blend the boundaries of the different research fields in aerosol sciences. The meeting will be held in a single session format (no parallel sessions), so that all participants will have the opportunity to learn about the newest developments in the entire range of aerosol science. Ample space and time will be provided for interactive sessions. The scientific exchange will be rounded off by the ceremony of the GAeF PhD awards in the evening of 10 March 2027.
Besides the scientific program, Munich offers something for everyone. Explore the charming city center with its historic squares, museums, and beer halls, enjoy excellent restaurants and cultural attractions, or relax in the famous English Garden. Beyond the city, the beautiful Bavarian Alps and picturesque lakes are just a short trip away. The conference is held in the lecture halls at the Klinikum Großhadern, which is easily accessible by public transport. It can be reached from the city center by U-Bahn (U6, Haltestelle Großhadern) and several bus lines (56, 160, 266, 269, X910).
