GAeF is happy to announce the first START conference on aerosol science, which will be hosted by the University of Vienna on 20th and 21st February 2024. The START conference will revive the spirit of the “Schwebstofftechnische Arbeitstagung”, which was the nucleus for the foundation of GAeF and is the namesake for the acronym START. The aim of this meeting is not only to organize a high quality scientific conference, but also to foster interaction and exchange among GAeF members and beyond.
One of the highlights will be tandem talks by invited speakers, addressing a specific topic from two perspectives in order to blend the boundaries of the different research fields in aerosol sciences. The meeting will be held in a single session format (no parallel sessions), so that all participants will have the opportunity to learn about the newest developments in the entire range of aerosol science. Ample space and time will be provided for poster sessions. The scientific exchange will be rounded off by the ceremony of the GAeF PhD awards in the evening of 20 February 2024.
