Tenure Track Positions in Aerosol Science (1-2 positions)
We are interested in a broad range of excellent candidates that can strengthen or complement our present activities in the fields of aerosol instrumentation, nanoparticle synthesis by gas phase processes, combustion aerosols and atmospheric aerosols. A succesful candidate could have a background either in experimental or modeling studies.

Master 2 end of course internship “Development of analysis methodology for particle emissions from hydrogen internal combustion”
Internal combustion engine powered by hydrogen (H2-ICE) is a possible solution for decarbonizing ground transport. Compared to a fuel cell, H2-ICE benefits of the advantages of fossil fuel ICE such as technological maturity, existing manufacture chains and durability. It results a possible fast development at moderated cost accentuated by the need of low noble metals and low purity hydrogen.

Master 2 end of course internship “Specification and characterization of brake wear particle model aerosols”
IFP Energies nouvelles is a major player in research and training in the fields of energy, transport, and environment. Among its objectives, IFPEN conducts research aimed at improving the energy efficiency of mobility solutions, as well as characterizing and limiting their potential impact on air quality.
While particulate emissions from internal combustion engines have been drastically reduced with the generalization of particulate filters, the contribution of non-exhaust emissions (NEE) from tire/road and disc/pad abrasion continues to grow; this trend should also continue in the coming years due to the electrification of the French and European vehicle fleets.

Master 2 end of course internship “Study of the secondary aerosols formation processes"
IFP Energies nouvelles is a major player in research and training in the fields of energy, transport, and environment. Among its objectives, IFPEN conducts research aimed at improving vehicle powertrains, as for example: internal combustion engines in the areas of energy efficiency and reducing pollutant emissions, as well as optimizing the use of fuels (liquids, gases, H2, biofuels), internal combustion engine (ICE) hybridization or fuel cells.
