EAC/IAC - past conferences
EAC Conference Archive
Until 2005 (EAC in Ghent, Belgium), conference programmes and abstracts were distributed to participants as printed booklets and/or published in the Journal of Aerosol Science. A complete collection of these materials is held by the Physics Library of the University of Vienna and is available through interlibrary loan.
Since 2007, EAC programmes and abstracts have primarily been distributed in digital form—on CDs or USB drives, or through the respective conference websites. To preserve this valuable record of European aerosol research and make it permanently accessible, these materials are being archived in PHAIDRA (Permanent Hosting, Archiving and Indexing of Digital Resources and Assets), the open-access digital repository of the University of Vienna.
Archiving the historical conference materials required considerable work, including reorganizing and converting files from different digital media into a standardized format and obtaining authorization from the respective host aerosol associations.
Thanks to the tremendous effort and dedication of Prof. Helmuth Horvath, EAC programmes and abstracts are now permanently preserved and openly accessible through PHAIDRA at the links below.
